I don't know, I believe every person is indoctrinated as the next, just knowing a language indoctrinate you to cognitive practice.
To be human is to be indoctrinated, the only difference is how noticeable it is in contrast to the society you live in.

Still, religious practice is not progressive as opposed to language or certain social customs.

It is agreed upon that every human born with normal brain function will uphold empathy in most cases unless certain indoctrinations override it. As well, each indoctrination has the capability to either deviate from natural empathy or perhaps not at all. I know it is also true that one can break free of indoctrinations to have a more broadened view.
