Well, maybe the elves are supposed to be counting coup. But it'd still be nice to see them with real weapons.

While there are other items that would serve the same function as a whip and are made of wood, I am prone to agree with you, as I would like [WOOD_ONLY] weapons, if only to make modded clubs make more sence. While we could add the training tag, ensuring that these weapons are only ever made from wood, civs then refuse to bring them to war...

I plan on adding more stone, gems, and reactions, but wood, leather, and bone may have to wait a long time. Filiusenox is helping me completely rework iron reactions, while I work on adding more variety and interest (and a little economic rationality) to gold.

Once the materials are done, I'll start puzzling out weapons. The new update has added a lot of confusing tags, so making sense of those will take some work.

Weapons made from custom reactions work well for producing bone/stone/leather/whatever weapons. Civs still don't bring them.
