Generally I would think forum posters are not representative of the whole population though.  In dwarf fortress, or anywhere else, the people talking about it on the internet are probably putting in more effort to customization than the users not posting.

I'm using a tileset on my... whaddayacallthat ...stationary computer, but not on my laptop.
