Common domestic means you'll get immigrants with the things as pets-which would then instantly airdrown. I believe plain old-fashioned [PET] is what you're looking for.

148. There is no Gnomish Deathgrip, and even if there was, it wouldn't involve tongs.

So now are we going to get obnoxious cats dragging around dead fish, talking to them?

Sharking aside, any tips on how long I'll have to wait for a magma pipe to refill completely after I empty the entire thing? For 14 z levels, say.

My problem is that I've never gotten sea creatures to come into my maps... they just never spawn...

Also, when you put the [pet] tag on sea creatures, sometimes they will come with elves, which makes them quite useful.
