Ah, late autumn -- it's too late to plant before winter now.

Yeah, I agree, your cancellation method is much better.  Maybe people would still appreciate some massive cancellation options in the [j] screen too.

This could possibly be stupid question, but it's late spring, and I have a couple 6x6 farm plots. I have around 100 helmet seeds, but when I set the farm plots to those seeds and several dwarfs to farm (plot), they planted just a few seeds and then went inactive... There something I'm doing wrong?

too late in the season to plant, maybe?

hmm, well I had summer selected to helmet seeds but nobody planted any all summer either.

Are the seeds set to be moved around by store jobs?  Are there fertilize jobs on the plots?

Ok I just started over and did the farms again. This time it worked like a charm, but I have one other question. The mill says it needs an "empty bag chest". What exactly is it looking for?

he he he, just an empty bag (made from leather or plant fiber or silk).  Since bags are classified as room containers, the shorthand for which is "chests", it gets a little strange sounding.

Ohhh ok, I made a chest thinking (why would you put processed plants in that? Thanks for clearing it up.
