The sock?

Yep. Suicidal depression is epidemic among socks.

I was just about to mention in another thread that I've been misreading your name with "scythe" instead. This is a better place to put it.

Truth be told I've never ever had cream corn or any variety of dishes that call for it. I've only ever had regular corn in my life time. One day though, one day I shall relish the delectableness of cream corn upon my palate and reach the zenith of my existence as I combine with the singularity that is my username.

I got it from Ed, Edd and Eddy. Ed said Cream corn one episode. It was hilarious.
Think of clam chowder, but corn. Thats basically it,
Yeah basically it's corn that's been chopped up real good but there are some bits of corn still in it. Mushy.

Now what is good, ya hear, is corn chowder. Can cream corn + can regular corn + diced potato + cream cheese + sour cream + cooked bacon + bacon grease + salt/pepper. Cook and stir until the yum-yums are hot and tasty and the potato bits are soft.
My parents sometimes make this, it is probably my favorite soup.

He was talking about Durarara.  Celty's a dullahan who's missing her head.  That match the manga you were thinking of?

I needed a new nick somewhat quickly after various circumstances.  As such, I went digging for something a little more meaningful than my old one by going through all of my bookmarks of online dictionaries that I'd collected by that point (for online games, simple curiosity, translation requests, that sort of thing; back then, AltaVista's Babelfish was still the best you could find in free machine translation online, and things haven't really changed since).  While going through, I found out "culise" apparently means wings in Romanian, and picked that out for myself.  As it turned out, though, this is not especially accurate in the sense that you think when you usually hear the word "wings," however: it means "wings" as in "in the wings", not as in a "bird's wings," which is what I intended (and would be aripă).  Still, by the time I figured this out, there was really no point in altering it.  It has the benefit of uniqueness combined with difficulty to search (lots of Romanian pages, not a lot of me), not to mention the coincidental phonetic similarity to certain actual names.
