What is the origin of your username?
« on: December 09, 2013, 08:45:49 pm »

This seems like a pretty fun thing to do! Just tell us how you got your current username.

I got mine from when I was around seven years old, it was the name I used for my ToonTown account. Pretty nice, eh?

Wow, we've had a lot of these already.

In any case, mine is an accidental misspelling of a minor character from a fiction book I read a while back, which I just sort of adopted as my own.

I made at least five accounts whenever I signed up for something because I kept forgetting them. This just happened to be the first thing I remembered, now I use it for everything. It's a variation on something Spock from Star Trek would often say.

Misko is a nickname my mom called me once that I use in places now. It's even in my email address. The numbers were just one-off things to beat a length requirement somewhere and now I just cycle different numbers.

So unimpressive an origin story.

No real origin, just thought of it at random. I may have seen it used somewhere else but I'm not entirely sure.

BlackFlame is almost always taken.

But luckily BlackFlyme is just stupid enough to not be used. Too often, anyways.

At least two people have blackflyme as a Youtube account, and neither are mine.

Same here, but mine is a misspelling of the labeling of Odin's attack from FFVIII.

It's from a naming system I used for my dwarves, originating from a game called Powder Game, in which one manipulates elements, and there is a list of said elements.
I would pair in order an element with each profession so the first of a profession would be named after the first element on the list, Powder, like Powder ____, then Water ____, Seed ____, etc.
Miner was usually my first customized dwarf's profession, thusly Powder Miner was usually my first dwarf's name. It became natural that that would be my forum name too.

Rule of Cool, although it does have some mathematical implications that I honestly don't fully understand.

Eh, I just typed a random string of letters when creating a yahoo account, realized it actually formed something semi coherent(try RAR, if you added the space), and rolled with that. On the plus side, I didn't even need to add numbers to get an email account, which frankly shocked me due to just about every combination of words and letters having been used at least once to grab a yahoo account.

Of course, now I can't think of any other username I'd take, so it works out

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

I actually don't recall...

I thiiiiiink I came up with Iceblaster a couple years ago as an OC's name for MLP, however it's probably more likely that I came up with it at random...

Either way, I came up with it and I like it;Flows off the tongue and all that.
