Have you farmed above ground before above ground farms don't need mud the game tells you it dose because it was intended to be played with dwarves, you only need to wotty about mud when a red message appears.

I give. Its impossible to play early in on a reclaim without like 50 infected seiging you.

Well, what I want to know is why the hell there are designations to flood the underground area.

The Master probably did it to create mud for farms. Or drown eveyone in the caves.
