I'm usually taking baths now, but after a hot bath made hotter with boiling water from the kettle I'll rinse myself down with cool water to bleed off some excess heat and prevent sweating. I highly recommend it.

Wait, so you put a kettle on, get in the bath, wait for it to boil, get out and add the water, and continue happy bath time?

Or you get in the bath, get out, put the kettle on, wait for it to boil, add the water, get back in, and continue happy bath time?

Or do you place the kettle by the bath, so you can operate it without leaving the bath (and associated happy bath time)?

I sincerely hope it is not the third. That would be poor electrical safety, and electrical safety is one of the cornerstones of happy bath time.

I take my showers ridiculously scalding. To the point I almost can't stand it.

Hey, a place where I can complain about it.

My one-lever shower has about a 2mm gap between scalding and cold. you have to get it just right to be hot enough without being too hot.

Anyone else make it cooler to wash their face, then warmer?

Hell yes. The mere lack of electrical equipment anywhere near my bath inspires me to rock out.

I would have assumed he would put on the kettle, draw his bath, pour the boiling water into the bathtub, and then actually get in.
His wife brings in the kettle.

I like hot showers.

You know what? Nikov is starting to influence my mind. I just woke up like half an hour ago and I just dreamed about running a bath till it was almost overflowing and lukewarm accidentally, following which I had a brief argument with Nikov that ended with me throwing up my hands and going "Fine. I'll go get the kettle."

Spooky.

Alternating between near-scalding and as-cold-as-it-goes, finishing with the latter.

Me too.

If I'm cold when I go to shower, I'll start as lukewarm, and gradually turn it up.
