@Deon: it wouldn't really be Dwarf Fortress without the dwarves...

To NRN_R_Sumo1: Vorthon was just posting an idea, and requesting modders, not demanding anything. You're acting like s/he was being cocky about this future idea, and ordering us around, s/he was doing neither of those. So you are needlessly being a dick.
Sorry, it's my bane seeing request threads disguised as actual mod threads, it happens far too often on all modding communities.

Dwarves are a medieval-fantasy styled race thus they do not fit SCI-FI genre at all. But it's just my own opinion, I don't try to force it.

Gahh... I've started the primary changes, and it's a lot harder than I'd thought it'd be! I've replaced goblins with trilaterally symmetrical... things... And dwarves have been replaced with ' heavyworlders' (Humans adapted to higher gravity, with the unfortunate side effect of shortening their life expectancy) but trying to fit in algae and foodstuffs to be synthesized from it is a real pain... Help please? :-[
