Though it's not specifically because of DF, I intend to build a forge for the purpose of forging swords, axe heads, and other medieval/ancient weaponry. And maybe armor. There's also the mail hauberk in the closet. <.< >.>

I'd also like to eventually get my house off the grid, and I want a basement dungeon.

I've thought about building some sort of forge myself, actually. Not too seriously (yet) since I haven't the funds and haven't done the research, but I would like to try forging something one day.
