Warlord's Log: continued
I darted from tree to tree, hoping that I could get to the Elven archer before any more of my allies were injured.
I hurled my Spear at the elf, but missed. I saw Zak and Vactor approaching the archer, with Stryke following, his heavy Iron armor slowing him down considerably.
I noticed out of the corner of my eye that Shoruke had already gotten back to her feet, although obviously the leg that had been shot was obviously limping.
With My allies behind me, I dashed out from behind a tree. It was only my reflexes that saved me then as I brought my shield up to deflect the arrow aimed for my head.
With lightning speed, the elf reached to her quiver for another arrow, as I prepraed a projectile of my own.
The turtle hit the elf in the arm, ruining her aim for just long enough for me to get within weapon-reach.
I charged at the elf, stunning her, as Vactor stabbed her in the arm with his pike. I hacked at the elf's leg, hearing a satifying crunching sound on contact, and the elf fell to the ground.
Vactor pulled his pike free of the elf's arm, and brought it down with great force at the archer's chest. Blood squirted from the wound, and the elf lay still.
Zak arrived at the scene of the fight with his axe raised in the air, ready for combat. When he spied the dead elf, he said "Aw, ye didn't save any fer me."
I responded "There are plenty more elves in this camp, now if you'll excuse me I'm about to lose my lunch." Zak and Vactor reeled back, as if to avoid something unpleasant, Zak shouting "Ye didn't tell me ye were cave-adapted!" as I strolled over and picked up the turtle, which had been slowly walking away.

I think I'll stick with smaller updates, like this one, so that I can get them out more frequently.
