The party, presumably, agrees to spend the night without any particular preparations. The meal continues with some more polite attempts at conversation that go nowhere. When the meal concludes, the older lady goes out to a well at the center of town and with the voluntary help of Ethan clears out the grass that blocks off their access to the water constantly and comes back with enough to do dishes. All of the family clears out their own dishes, but as you are guests they also offer to clean yours. Most of the family begins performing mundane chores in silence until an early bed.

The grass pillows and mats you where provided with arn't particularly more comfortable than sleeping outside, but the warmth of the constant fire and sense of security allow you to sleep more soundly than your camp outside the forest. You may or may not dream of all those mutant grassrunner farmers you killed the other day, since I think everyone forgot that random encounter and it turns out to be plot relevant.

Ethan and Van are first to awaken to the sound of Ethan's mount making panicked noises outside the hut. Peaking out to check on the poor creature you notice a heavy rain. By the light of the hearth fire you notice it is the color of blood.

Lanith wakes up to the sound of rain. "That better not be the Etherwind."

With a panic-stricken grin, Ethan starts shaking awake anyone around. "The blood rain comes. What'll we do? We have to get out of here..."
