Brynn glanced back at the rest before striding in without a word. She takes special care to note whether she can actually feel her body moving in 3D space to a new position, or if she's simply projecting her conscious into a false interior like how the shops worked. A rather trivial thing for her to tell now that she knew to check for it.

Aiko and Shizu

Glad to finally be making progress after the frustration of interacting with a bunch of NPCs, Aiko and Shizu head inside. Well assuming the door lets them open it.

When you approach the door, it does not slide open. Instead you get a similar sensation as the one you got when entering the shops, almost like you're phasing out of existence. But once you arrive on the other side you find that you're entirely capable of moving as normal. You seem to be in a penthouse suite at the top of the tower, with large windows in almost every direction overlooking the city. Strangely, there's no sign of the regions beyond, despite them being easily visible from the ground when looking down the wider streets.

The whole place is decorated in neon colors, especially blue and green, and quite frankly looks a bit garish. It's also a huge mess. There's candy wrappers, empty bags of chips, and soda bottle strewn all over. The source of the mess has a likely culprit: a girl that looks almost identical to Nora, though her hair is a bit shorter, wearing nothing but a gigantic white t-shirt with a graphic of a game controller on it. She's laying on the couch and drooling all over an actual game controller that she seems to have decided makes a valid pillow.

"This... explains much." The dragon sighed as she glanced around the NEET's penthouse. "I suppose we should wake her?"

The reluctance in her voice made it all too clear she'd prefer one of them take the lead instead.

Aiko and Shizu

Aiko, being herself, is already approaching.

"Aiko, be careful. She may be distressed if woken by someone she does not know."

"Gotcha. Careful. I can do that. Uh, hello, Miss Other-Magical-Girl? Could you wake up? We were hoping to chat..." Okay, tactic one: speaking in a relatively normal voice. Not shouting or shaking her shoulder yet.

Behind the rest of you, Nora phases into existence. There's a distinct sound of a door sliding, despite the fact that it doesn't actually seem to move.

Aiko's attempt doesn't so much as prompt a snore, but Nora seems to have her covered. The younger girl marches over to her doppleganger and shouts. "NILA! I BROUGHT LORENZO KART!"

Instantly, the other girl bolts up, as if she hadn't been sleeping at all. "It's out?" she asks gleefully, staring at the bag in Nora's hands.

Nora's eyes fall flat. "No, we're still dead." she says bluntly, "The available games are the same as always, unless you want to work on dev..?"

"Uuuuuugh..." Nila groans, "But I haaaaate that system."

"Then there's no new games." Nora takes a step back, "But there are new people."

Nila seems confused and starts to look around the room, finally noticing her visitors. "Oh! Shit!" She bolts to her feet, nearly toppling Aiko in the process, and salutes. Then she realizes that saluting doesn't make any sense in this context and, after thinking for a few seconds, extends her hand (which is covered in some kind of orange substance) towards Aiko to shake.

Well Aiko wasn't ever one to avoid getting her hands dirty! Handshake it is, no hesitation.

Nila's hand takes Aiko's in a loose, slimy grip. Some of the half-molten cheese dust worms its way between Aiko's fingers with a squish. She barely moves her arm, just kind of letting it dangle as Aiko shakes it around. "Magical Girl Rampart☆Four." She introduces herself with surprising gusto, given the limp handshake.

Once her hand is freed from Aiko, she quickly scoots over to where Brynn is and extends a hand to her as well

The self-exiled royal bristled in subtle disgust, almost akin to a cornered cat. For about the third time since they got there, she asked herself how someone could live in such... no, it wasn't even squalor. Squalor implied the heavy involvement of circumstances beyond one's direct control. This was pure slovenliness.

What's wrong child? Arisen chimed, causing her to bristle even more. Have you not already handled the gore of our enemies? Are you truly so lacking of poise as to balk at mere spit and food dust-

Pray tell, dear Arisen, would you shake that hand willingly, if you even had the means to do so?

Oh heaven's no. But this is your problem, not mine.

Brynn very faintly muttered something about a 'cold metallic bitch' as she glared at her sword, before thrusting out her hand and shaking Nila's with all the enthusiasm one would spare a rotten fish. Her only solace was the fact that a good chunk of the orange gunk had likely already rubbed off into Aiko's palm.

Nila repeats her sloppy introduction to Brynn, completely oblivious to the horrors she's just bestowed.

"So... what brings you girls to my territory?"

The dragon straightened herself while resisting the urge to baptize her own tainted hand in fire. "We are agents from beyond the confines of this game, come bearing an offer: Help us assail the master of this place, and you will be freed if possible, or given the release of death if not. If you do not wish to join, then we will not hold it against you."
