A panda murdered 4 of my starting seven dwarves and 2 dogs in the first five minutes of embark.


The panda walked away with almost red everything. It is named "Weakscorched". That is all.

I had a similar experience, but with Unicorns.  My sympathies :(  The most sensible course of action you can take now is find a Savage and/or Joyous jungle, and dedicate your Fortress to the capture/taming/wholesale slaughter of pandas.

You've never been more right, but I'm going to stick with this fort to see if the panda returns. It will face revenge.

That is basically what being a dorf is. Getting murdered by adorable ursines is just level one.
