You continue scanning the line, looking for any trouble. Nothing notable occurs, and you break some small talk with the guard next to you. His name is Peter, and he came to the guard as a way to get enough money to get out of the house with his parents. He is very young, and you assume that he lied about his age to get in. He says that he came from a farming town named Peslin, and that things had been pretty miserable there.


Towards the end of the day, you notice that you would probably be able to talk to the inspector right after 6 o clock, as he goes home. Perhaps he could even get your wife into the country.

After the shift, you walk over to the inspector's little building. He has just walked out, and grabs his coat.

"Hello, how are you?" you ask.

He stops, looks at the ground for a moment, and then speaks. "Look, I know exactly what you came to ask. Plenty have done it before. I have a family too, I can't just let someone through for you."
