Harpe simply sighed and nodded at Kira. "Ready as we'll ever be. We shall do that, and when we do, we will be certain that the Tsuans remember this day. I'd like to say that there won't be anyone there to remember it, but let's not bait old Murphy, shall we?" She grinned and shook her head. "And Dylan, cut down on the smoking! Some of us value our lungs!" she called after the departing pilot.

She hadn't actually disapproved his plan, though, as she followed towards the hangar.

(Sorry guys, didn't notice the posts :S))

Dylan&Harpe:

In the hangar, engineers and assistans were busy replacing parts of the damaged mecha. Sometimes just smearing metallic paste into the scratches and tiny holes - sometimes, lifting off whole fragments of devastated armor and replacing it with new. The storage room gate was open wide, and small vehicles carrying parts and ammo went back and forth through it.

Repairs, resupply and rearming was still going on, and Chief Engineer was actually nowhere to be seen.

Dylan walked over to Harpe, and leaned against the rail of the catwalk they stood as he spoke, "I have a question Ms. Squad Leader," He took a second to grin at her to show the words were meant as a joke before continuing, "Why is it you decided to become a Mech Pilot, statistically speaking its one of the most deadly military jobs out there, I figured someone like you would have a nice comfortable desk job at one of the division HQs."

Harpe stared at Dylan for a second, then burst into laughter.

"Me? A desk job? I would have thrown my clipboard out the window within the first week!"

Suffice to say, she did not think very highly of Dylan's question.

"Oh well, I guess that makes some sense to, now I have something I want to check out, see you later Ms Squad Leader." Dylan said before giving a small smile, and walking off down the stairs. He headed for the storage room to check it out, and see what was inside.

//I have vague memory of replying to this already o.o

In the storage room, there were several spare mecha, mostly Agressor-A suits. There were also several, rather large crates and few shelves with spare arms, legs, weapons, utilities and such equipment, ready to be taken to the main room and installed on the suits.

Trucks with parts came in and out of storage room, and engineers paid little to no attention to the pilots, being busy with repairs and other things.
