Harpe blinked twice, feeling a sense of pride well up inside her as she received the badge of her rank. Up till now, she'd only known that she was nominated... The experience was still a bit of a shock to her.

"T-thank you," she managed, blinking. "Both of you," she added after a moment.

"Okay...First off, this mission sounds...dangerous to say the least. They'd probably be there in greater force than this attack, not to mention they'd have stationary defenses of some kind. So if there's anything on this ship we could use in a pinch- fighter drones, mines, et cetera- I'd like to know."

A grim expression settled upon her face.

"I'd like to make sure we don't lose another person so soon into our tour, or worse."

Dylan saw how nervous Harpe was as she talked, but he continued through with his idea despite it. "Yes I have one request actually, I would like permission to begin modifications on the White Knight as soon as possible, as we observed in our last battle the Tsuan are far superior technology wise, but I have a plan that should weaken them severely. Of course to do this I will need free reign to modify the White Knight along side the engineers as I see fit, and I will need access to new weaponry, and parts for it." Dylan said taking a deep breath at the end before continuing, "Now the actual plan revolves around the fact that the Tsuan forces consist of drones, and their weapons are entirely energy based so my idea is to outfit the White Knight with high-quality experimental EMP shielding, and an EMP Weapon built into it. In this way I think we can neutralize the Tsuan suits in battle and give us the upper hand. I have more ideas, but I'll stick to this one for now. So what do you say Captain?"

Harpe smiled and nodded at the ideas Dylan was putting down. Okay, that was definitely a good idea, but it could use some work.

"Well, if we're going to talk about that, we might as well just use a nuclear warhead or a... what was the term...oh! Explosively pumped flux compression generator. Yeah, that sort of thing. After all, Tsuan circuitry is probably smaller and more compact than ours, and thus more vulnerable to EMP if not properly shielded. But really, I don't think you need to switch to vacuum tubes to deal with lasers." She grinned at her fellow pilot. "Perhaps you were thinking of high-quality mirrors? Believe it or not, those could in fact work. If they were really high quality. And you kept them undamaged by space debris."

"...And while we're talking about it, we could get a few electron beams and pump them full of X-rays..."

Harpe&Dylan:

Captain Lydia glared a little at both of them during their technotalk, as the First Officer looked at a datapad in his hand and pushed some buttons, letting out a hum afterwards.

"Well, the repairs are still underway. I don't think you will be able to do any modifications before we reach the inner asteroid belt. But feel free to pass your notes and ideas to Sir Arthur or Chief Engineer. They might find some time for you. Supplies and extra parts might be even harder to get, especially that our Quartermaster dislikes experiments involving our limited supplies." He said briefly looking at Dylan.

"Dismissed. I need to take a nap. Sergei, you have the ship." With that, the Captain stood up and marched out of the ready room.

Harpe chuckled after the captain left. "Yes, yes she does need a nap...Moving on.  It'd be unfortunate if we don't have anything. I suppose I shall go and try to talk something useful out of our infamous Quartermaster. A few missiles, perhaps... Think I've got a chance, sir?" she asked the First Officer.

The captain was not, in fact, scary when she was annoyed. How fortunate. Harpe knew quite a few people who were.

Bureaucracy time! Find out what stuff is around in the first place- missiles, drones, what have you. Useful stuff. Obtain forms to acquire said stuff for whatever purposes. Fill out said forms. Yadda yadda yadda.

The man scratched his cheek a little.

"Uh, well. We have several dozens of weapons and utilities mountable on PCASS. But this is a cruiser, not a missile frigate nor a minelayer or construction vessel. I think the most you can get from Arus is additional weapon for your suit, if you have place on it, of course. Said weapons of course come with full ammo bank... As for WMD or special equipment, you won't get those. The first were banned eighty years ago, during Unification, and the second is restricted for Captain's orders and science department. Sorry to dissappoint you."

Harpe nodded, sighing. "Figured that might be the case. Ah, well... If you happen to see the Captain and she's feeling better, tell her I asked for the equipment, would you? I didn't expect much, but there should at least be a drone or two on this ship somewhere. They're so very useful for scouting..."

"By the way, the WMDs were a joke." She chuckled and shook her head.
Review the inventory of additional weapons and utilities in case we want to change up our Suit's equipment. Also, pull rank on fellow suit pilots to make a meeting. We must figure out how to outfit our Suits!
