I don't believe I mentioned it, but repair happens between turns. So you could repair between turns 4-5, and then use the engine/gun in turn 5.

Derp.  We still can hit two things this turn, though- G14-H15 so we pick up the nebula in addition to the asteroid field?


How can a ship's weapons be online if the power source, engine, is broken down?

I'm assuming engine refers more to thrusters and less to power core/generator.

ill leave it to zecro to decide if we flee or help you but rest assured if we flee ill swing by once the pirates are gone and pick you up.

im just concerned that if you roll poorly the pirates might take your ship then shoot you anyway.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Hide our ship in a nebula or something but wait for hte pirate to move in closer on the stranded guy. then come out at full speed and flank the pirate / destroy his ship when he goes to board the ship! IE pull a han solo.

okay i guess we are fleeing then

1)engage cloaking field then hide behind a moon or something (if reaver fleet is discovered lure it to pirate frigates then fly like the wind)
repair hull
2)wait for pirates to board the mud snail
repair hull
3)pull a Han Solo and hopefully destroy pirate vessels while they are unable to fight back (switch target if pirate weapons become crippled)
4)flee again if the unholy scourge takes another heavy damage




also i think the first item we should be saving up for is a targeting computer.

I just realized, starting an increasingly complex forum game on exam week was not my brightest idea.

I probably won't have time to do an update until Tuesday.

I may also simplify combat. Right now, the current system is very time consuming(though maybe its because it was a 3vs2).

This is starting to slip out of my grasp, with having very little time.

If someone wants to, I can upload/pm/email the info for this game(I have it all written down in a semi-understandable format), and you could continue to run it without me. I just don't have a lot of time right now.

Hm. I felt I expanded it too much to run it efficiently, which is why I kind of hoped to pass it along to someone else, as I didn't have the time to work on it. Sorry. Its the case of the death of most forum games. I still have the files and can e-mail them if someone wants to take control.
