...there is almost no room above ground for a castle/fort, as I live on the side of a bigass volcanic mountain thing.

Any suggestions?

Gravity means nothing build a floating castle on top of a single staircase of elf soap.

I find it funny that until now, no one (including myself) stopped to consider the absurdity of a submarine in which the crew cabin is filled with water and the crew is drowning when everything is working properly.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

>Also, why is the Farm and the Storage and all that so screwily shabbed together?!

Because of the goddamn rocks lying all over the place!  I'll probably just toss em all into the volcano, after that I will get around to organizing and using the huge space, still got another 4-5 layers of this.  Full of rocks. OGEHGUI(AHGAHAHIOheh

I was really, really hoping that your text in the original message was just going to be the same thing as your title. That would have been AMAZING. Anyway, flood your fort with magma, post pics.

I use my waste rocks in construction. Build a giant tower, build a bustling town hiding the entrance to your fort, pave any areas made out of dirt, there are many things to do with stone.

Build a set of eight pillars around the opening to the volcano. Embed staircases in two of them, fill four with pumps, and leave the other two hollow. Atop these pillars construct a large disk, and on top of the disc a city of white stone. Have two of the pump-pillars each carry water and magma into a large reservoir in the middle of the city, with the emergency drains leading to the other two pillars. Move all your dwarves up into it, then fill the staircases with cast obsidian. Dump all refuse off the edge of the city. If you're feeling bored, set up a fountain in the center which flows to the edge of the city and turns into a waterfall. Water or magma, your choice.

Build a heated dwarven waterslide. Basically, a giant inverted pyramid, with another one built inside of it a tile away from the inside of the first, fill the gap with magma, build ramps on the inside of the inside pyramid, have water flowing down from the four sides, place levers in front of the pumps, order them to be pulled on repeat.

data\init\colours.php:

[WHITE_R:230]
[WHITE_G:230]
[WHITE_B:230]

That fixes the eye-hurt for me.

Use the rocks as flux stone:You've gotten rid of it, and it's actually worth using.
