I seem to have to many peasants in my fort currently, now I can't stop imagining them like that.

I love the character in each of them, though I'd probably make the Peasants hooded and wearing rags  :P

I'd love to see what you do for goblins and the elves as well!

Thanks for the replies!
So i made some more:

animal trainer > cook > furnace operator > mechanic > trader > farmer > blacksmith
I forgot to say in the original post that the image is blow up 4times.
The originals are meant for 24x24 tiles, like this:

What do you people think, are they hard to tell apart? I cant judge myself cause of my eagle eyes  :P

Black_Legion: i have human, elf and goblin done somewhat but they still need some work.
Also i plan to do some floor/wall/furniture tiles for a mock-up to see if it would be possible to turn it into tileset.

Cheers!

Wow, these are excellent! :D I like the trader in the business suit! Keep it up, looking foward to seeing goblins, too.

The body shapes and big red noses really remind me of Penny Arcade art.  These are great!  Personally, I do have some trouble telling them apart, but that may be because I'm used to the dwarves dominant color being that of their job.  Brown farmers, yellow carpenters, blue crafters, etc.  Doing that might ruin what wonderful character you have going, so I'm not saying it's the best course of action.

On a side note, the elves in DF are shorter than humans, though I'm not sure exactly how much.

If you have trouble visualizing jobs, I'd recommend having a peek at tilesets others have made, or doing some Google image searches.  Also, it is not possible to make furniture tilesets, though you can edit the character table (I think that's what this is called?):http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/Character_table

Cheers, and good luck to you!

The elf reminds me of that weird guy from Legend of Zelda: MM that floats by using a balloon

Haha, for some reason I imagine the human to be Elvis...with an extremely red nose.

Fantastic little guys! That trader is hilarious.  I'm also looking forward to seeing your take on the various military dwarves.

Actually, we only know for sure that elves have less volume than humans. Extremely tall, very thin elves would accurately represent DF also.

I didnt make the bowdwarf and blowgunner, should i make them?

For elite versions i just added cloaks, im so lazy  :P

You should quickly add breastplates to elites and yes add bowdwarves and blowgunners since now those skills can be trained. very nice btw
