It's simple: The scum would be too concerned about image to join the bandwagon, and therefore ask for some kind of reasoning or anything, really. Of course, now that I've explained it, it no longer works, but everyone currently on the bandwagon is significantly less likely to be scum.

It's like I'm the only one with a knack for human psychology, really.

But, I've got enough people to not worry about now, so we can either continue this for the pressure on TolyK or start responding.

Going through the role PM's I noticed that I, once again, failed at 'splanations.

Town- and mafiawincons are the same as always, so even though the town wincon states that you win if all hostile players are gone, you still lose if there are no town players left. And mafia has to outnumber all of the other players, not only town, with no killers left.

It might have been obvious, but I want to clarify a potential source of confusion.

This is the first mention of bastard modding in the thread, pregame and all.  I don't buy his "Because it's Darvi" suggestion, given that Darvi hasn't actually hosted any bastard mods (Taking over WC2 doesn't count.)  This means he has either some oddball third-party role or is something on the power level of a Sleeping God.  It's been a while since we've seen one of those (You in BYOR 5 or 6 being the last I remember.)

What I don't have is any insight to his alignment.

But town are never going to join a quicklynch bandwagon either and they're just as likely to ask you for a reason for your vote as scum are, because they want to know what the hell you're doing.

Yeah, that doesn't stop RVS at all. That just randomly quicklynches someone who could be a townie. This, combined with Jim's points on the logical flaws, make this answer unsatisfying.
