I am looking for a movie...
« on: January 15, 2012, 02:57:37 am »

It begins with the red army assaulting the Nazi lines in a snowy city. IIRC The men get gunned down when they retreat and the main character plays dead. He somehow becomes a sniper. He has a sniper mentor-type character (beard?) who
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's been a while so the details are sketchy.

Anyone else, post anything you're looking for. I've seen too many enough movies to help.

Good movie. We got to watch it during History class in school. I kindof feel our teacher lazied out on that one.

Since I played the Call of Duty (I think) game before I saw the movie, I also used to think the movie had stolen the intro from the game. Silly young me.

I have one, though I don't know whether it actually exists or I simply dreamed it up: it's a comedy from either the eighties (most likely late eighties) or early nineties (when I was a young child and remember seeing it) featuring a woman who hits a man with her car, which causes the man's child ( I don't remember the gender; might have been a girl, but can't say for sure) to say something to the effect of "you just killed my dad!", even though he doesn't, and the child might have said "you just ran over my dad!" instead; I can't really be sure. I think the same scenario might have happened twice, with the kid saying the same thing with "again" added to the end, though, again, I'm not certain. I don't know if this movie was any good at all, it's just a thing I remember ( sort of).

I just remembered another one I forgot. It was possibly made in the nineties or early 2000's. I don't know, I just saw it on tv one day. Anyway, it featured a red-headed male protagonist who was always taking things apart, because his father was a scrapyard owner or something (I recall a flashback scene where the protagonist, as a child, is proclaiming the phrase "We take things apart"). Also, the love interest was a chicken sexer, and she might have won an award for it. I think either one or both of them was Australian.

No, the protagonist was a ginger, like Carrot Top or Shaun White, but definitely not either of those two.
