Decided to do a sprite for a game[That's probably months away from being worked on].

Wings are ever my enemy. At least I killed two out of six.

In any case, I quite like how this turned out. Some distortion in Gimp and this will serve quite nicely as a final boss.

Shook, there's just something about some of your art that demands to be scribbled on.
(If you were looking for the obvious critique on your knight-kicking, the kicked knight was too well balanced for someone who's about to be knocked over)

Are those. Are those cat ears hanging over its lower jaw.
I approve wholeheartedly.

Been lurking around this thread a lot, so I decided to actually post something here.
It's a messy sketch, don't know if I'll do anything with it yet.

It's... Really vague, but I very much like it.

That's really cool! It looks like a battlefield to me:

It's badly rendered because I was in a bad mood, I stumbled on the idea of an explosion with some contrasting battlefield landscape. Then after an initial blocking in, I did not have any interest to continue.

You're correct, I was thinking of troops advancing to attack the enemies front line as a creeping barrage hit the enemy.

No, I like the vagueness of it, has a neat abstract feeling, which I think is more appropriate to the subject matter than really pretty photorealism, at least to a degree.

His arms are pretty small and look like they bend in a weird place. His pose is pretty odd for riding a horse. It looks like he's sitting on its neck or something.

Also, his armour is generally pretty weird. It's quite big, and the way it's depicted he wouldn't really be able to walk, bend, or move his arms properly.

@Gunin
I've found that doing free hand doesn't help to much, and using a ruler is generally not something you want need to use. Any other ideas? Or is 'practice more' the best solution here?

I've been doing similar, so I might try something to show how good/bad I am.
Nothing wrong with using a ruler, but if you don't want to, then yes, 'practice more' it is. Rulers are BY FAR the best tool for making straight lines, just like how a compass is the best tool for making perfect circles. Personally i don't use a ruler simply because i'm too lazy. :v

Ah yes, that makes sense. It should've struck me before that a center of gravity above the base of support is how you DON'T fall over. :v
Also that is excellent, i considered shoving flowers into the mouth of the seagull as well, but it seems like i won't have to now! I've actually been thinking about releasing many of my doodles under a Creative Commons license exactly to promote this kind of stuff, and hey, if it works out, maybe i could make a colouring book one day and make a fat wad o' dosh off of that. :P

edit: also walrus

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I just noticed that Krita 3.0 is out so i installed it and lost all my brush settings, good job me. :v
