Actually very easy to see on Darkling.

I think it works really well on Darkling, better than it would regularly.

Spoiler: euuchh (click to show/hide)

Feedback and/or criticism is both welcome and appreciated, as I'm still pretty inexperienced when it comes to pixel art.

You put a lot detail in, it barely looks like pixels!
The pixels in the UI are bigger than the ones in the rest of the picture, which irrationally annoys me.

A minimalistic title for a potential game.

Almost certainly incredibly difficult to see on darkling.
Okay, but why is there MOTION BLUR of all things when I scroll?

Also, can confirm, it's readable on Darkling.
#333333 or thereabouts is the Color You Can't Read On Darkling.

Not seeing the blur. Also can confirm it looks great on darkling.

Just another bunch of stuff for that thing I will never finish. I am very unpleased with the lower part of Sentinel legs but erghhh...
Also proably the darkling background doesn't serve them well because they're pretty grim and dark.

They look really good! The Sentinel's lower-half of the legs should be angled more to the viewer's left, I think. And darkling makes anything look good :p

And in continuation with my struggle with color, here is another guardsman. This one I'm proud of!

It's a chicken walker, I ain't gotta explain shit, though yeah, they should be a bit more to left, it's just kinda hard to do it when you work on that small scale.
Also, FOR THE EMPEROOOOOR!

Just need to say that the pyramid not being symmetrical is driving me crazy.  I wanna get an eraser and fix it's lopsidedness so badly.

Edit* On closer inspection, is possibly an optical illusion.  Very strange either way.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Fun little thing I noticed. On my firefox browser, if you click on the image and then drag it, it creates another image with some pretty neat shading.

Hey all, have a pretty sweet cartoonists' reference textbook. Sorry, I couldn't find it collated into a single PDF so it takes some irritating downloading but you can collate it yourself with PDFsam from sourceforge.

Nothing of my own to post right now, but I'll get some stuff scanned tomorrow.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.
