Well, it's more skill than have I. The beard seems to have lost some detail when it was colored, but the rest looks great. Could possibly use a color that contrasts more with the skin for his shirt.

Your... technique? is excellent, as regards shading, form, and so on, but the proportions are off.
The legs are too far apart, and too thin, especially allowing for the fact that there's armour present; if it's meant to have exaggerated proportions, is better but still slightly off somehow. The beard doesn't seem to cast any shadow on the body, which makes the head look like it's in a totally different horizontal plane. The left hand has a similar problem in that its position is ambiguous.

That's my opinion. It's very good though, and it shouldn't take too much work to make it truly excellent.

Again thanks for the critiques, just what I need to improve and make the piece better, I'll update soon when I get the time to do so. I plan to do more df themed paintings; goblins, kobolds, elves! Look forward to post here and show it to you guys.

After ages of revision, going from paper to digital, back to paper, then back to digital... I finally have the design of two characters I've been working on for two or three months down.

I was originally going to use them in a game, but then I decided they're too detailed for one. Maybe a webcomic would do? I still need to revise them quite a bit: need to make the details a little nicer. If you want to know which one I was having trouble with, it's the girl on the right side: she was really difficult. Particularly the hair.

so i'm trying to maek gaems, one of 'em is a 3d rts\grand strategy hybrid with customizable civilizations and armies that i want to make on unity. i'm very new at programing and bad at managing my time so sometimes i waste what little free time i have on less productive things like making uninished stuff

these are some unfinished character models that i haven't decided if i'll scrap because i haven't decided if uv mapping them individually is easier than remaking them by editing the one mesh that i mapped already

also perhaps i shouldn't be so concerned with the fine details of the face texture, since they're not that proeminent from the point of view of an rts camera
