Ooh, that's pretty awesome, i particularly like the high-smoothness landscapes! Sadly, the mad geologist inside me is starting to have an influence on my view upon randomly generated terrain, which essentially boils down to "how did that formation come to be HMMMMMMM?". But nevermind that, Earth is a very complex piece of work, and the topography does appear to be fairly random most of the time. :P

Thanks for the feed back Shook of the Awesome Pictures :D

I can understand the inner-geologist speaking up. I am working on making the smoothing and noise generation systems a little more random in different sections of terrain so that they look nice but less uniform. I should also be adding in caves, and soon after that mineral veins.

Hopefully i'll have more pictures to stuff into here soonish (hopefully within the next 2 days ^_^)

Funny, what I can accomplish in an hour and a half has improved significantly over the past few months.


P.S. in other news, shading with both saturation and value takes ages compared to more simplistic methods, I would prefer to do even more iterations on the shading but after nearly 2 hours of work I think I'm about ready to shelve this one for a day or two.

P.P.S. I have no god damn clue what it is.

New Terrain Generator

Added a few new features to it, should have a slightly better version tomorrow sometime, with a few interchangeable textures for the terrain so it doesn't look so bad, and bland.

I'm not so worried about the quality, it's more that it's a bit hard to make out the actual lines. What i can see, however, looks nice. Some good designs there. c:

Somewhere in the Draw Your Adventures thread, i believe. No idea exactly where, though. :P
Also, i would, but i suddenly find myself out of ideas for pretty much any comics, and without a good idea they're just ugly stickmen doing whatever. :c

Also i just thought about a new way in which i could doodle things: Make dots first!
