I would like to see goblin sieges bring more trap-avoid/building destroyer buddies, so a pair of wooden doors and a row of cage traps doesn't break the siege almost every time.

Can a goblin on a trap-avoid mount run over traps safely? I've never noticed either way but if that is the case trap-avoid mounts being more common would be pretty cool too'

Alright, but how about wizards, with machine guns? That could be fun.

I want a pantheon/cult/religion system. With some sort of room that can be designated a temple that could be dedicated to all or a specific god. With sacrifices being able to be offered for the chance of the god to bestow a boon on the fort. Like spawning some sort of weapon for his faithful to use, or imparting some sort of secret knowledge.  Maybe conferring a happiness bonus to all dwarves in the fort that follow properly respected deities.

Limiting the months crops can be grown in. To encourage corp rotation and make it less easy to mass farm crops so fast. Maybe increase the grow time more.

Fixing the metal requirements for weapons and armor so larger pieces require more bars and fuel. Definitely agree with making forges require more labor.

It exists, but only in adventure mode. ...And they're usually dedicated to some sort of Titan/Megabeast.

I would like enemies to learn to avoid your traps. Like if a goblin army is standing outside, and watching their pals run into a line of cage traps or spinning blades, then the next guys to try it should have a better chance of avoiding these traps. Especially if these goblins retreat, the next time they attack they should have a better knowledge of where your traps are.
I would like to see the first attack attempts being more like small  reconnaissance  missions, so later sieges will be better prepared to deal with your defences.

Adding sewage to the game would add a lot of difficulty, having to deal with dwarf poop, and all the diseases associated, especially when thinking about a water supply too. Also adding a requirement to deal with smoke and other waste from production facilities.

Making trade more like a real economy. Have traders only wanting to buy things they actually need. If you flood the market with useless rock scepters one year, the next year they will not fetch a high price, no matter how high the quality. So when the diplomat tells you what they would like to buy next time they come, you actually have to pay attention, instead of (what I do) ignoring his request, and just making rock crafts all year.
