Quantum computer, DF universe in 3D in 50 years.....

That's true.  Phones definitely could not handle DF. 

I'm just trying to say the problem with making DF 3D on computers is one of time, resources and manpower.  The problem is not that we need more powerful computers.  It's entirely feasible to do with today's computers.

That's not true, i was able to get my phone to play df. Of course the graphics lagged and i had no way to control the game due to only having a touch screen. Also we have 3d visualizers, go get stone-sense and another monitor.

Stonesense isn't 3D, it's all 2D.

1. DF is 3D, you merely view one slice of the 3D plane at a time
2. In Toady's words, it has Direct X / Direct 3D support, so it's a 3D game
3. Stonesense already works, while you can't play the game through it you can see pretty much everything anyway. Iso3D is all good.

anyway, im fine with 2D aslong as i get tilesets,i use pheobus and its good.
btw, is gold a good metal to make stuff with, i wanna plate my fort with gold.
