What exactly are you doing with this thread?  The first question made sense, the next few did, now you're getting less and less concrete, to the point where a lot of these questions don't really even have objective answers.

These questions are for us.

I thought it was obvious.

Yeah, Old Testament God was a bit of a dick at times. Having Christ maybe made him a little more lenient.

Yeah but even the New Testiment shown that God could get pretty angry sometimes. Just read the section on what happens to people who Corrupt the Innocent.

Kinda why I said a 'little more lenient'.

Then again, being truly immortal and all that (or is he?), can only really imply that maybe we're in a game of DF played by Him.

He might be busy with a megaproject.

Why did god(s) make mankind?
Why else but to play around with it?

The real answer is "Why not?".

Why did god(s) make mankind?

An eternal question from which there will never be an acceptable answer.  After all, what could God have gained by creating us?

I should probably know better than to post in this thread, considering Toady's ruthlessness about preventing flames, but this hasn't devolved to that yet.

Why did god(s) make mankind?
They probably didn't. We are one of the products of a so far unbroken chain of replication, mutation, and evolution.
