I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People, a 
new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your 
name to mine?  If this petition gets 25,000 signatures by December 05, 2011, 
the White House will review it and respond!

We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama 
Administration to take action on a range of issues.  If a petition gets 
enough support, the Obama Administration will issue an official response.

Here's some more information about this petition:

Support a Christmas Club Stimulus Plan
Allow people to save $25 per week before taxes for the first 40 weeks of the 
year, with the condition they would have to spend the money in the last 12 
weeks of the year or lose it.

The Christmas Club Stimulus would work similarly to Healthcare Flexible 
Spending Accounts. It's goal would be to create a strong fourth quarter 
for consumer spending and anticipation of a strong fourth quarter in the 
markets. The plan would also promote  'Save then Spend' rather than 
"Borrow and Spend' consumer habits which would help reduce consumer 
debt.

The OP apparently registered sometime back in 2010, yet only has a handful of posts. I'd say that they just didn't really care that much about B12 until we became a potential source of brainless signees for their petition.

Even if this was not spam-a-rific I would not sign because such a thing is stupid as hell.

Whitehouse.gov's whole petition thing is a joke anyway. The petitions for legalizing marijuana and removing "Under God" from the pledge actually got enough support for responses, both of which were insultingly dismissive articles about how Obama doesn't agree with you, now run along and play somewhere else.

This doesn't even seem like a good petition.

Encouraging people to spend more of their money at the end of the year rather than spending it throughout the year seems a bad idea to me. Encouraging the yearly boom-bust seems like a bad idea, and besides, borrow then spend actually stimulates the economy (in a kind of evil way), even if it gives it instability.

This just seems to be a useless tax break.

That, and the fact that these petitions are basically the equivalent of a bunch of people signing under an illegible scrawl on a bit of sandwich board and tossing it over the White House perimeter fence.
