Strange Things you've eaten?
« on: October 29, 2011, 09:32:10 pm »

As the title suggests, I want to hear about some strange things you folks have eaten. Please note I do not want hating on the food you've eaten.
I'll start with this.
I once ate a bit of Octopus Arm, which was quite delicious, albeit chewy.

Me too; not surprising, since I lived ona an ostrich farm until I was five. Tastes like beef, texture of chicken, IIRC.

For the sake of puns, I once made pasta with heart and beets. It was pretty good, and I hunger for more.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Glue.

....What? I was a stupid seventh-grader.

A really stupid seventh-grader.

That aside, I have also made microwave s'mores using chocolate chip waffles instead of graham crackers and throwing in a ton of candy for the hell of it, ham wrapped in chicken coated with a cooking sauce that was reminiscent of mayonnaise, and a thing I made out of flour, water, and salt in the microwave. Said flour-salt-water-thing actually melted through the plastic Tupperware I had tried to microwave it in. I ate it anyways.

One time my preschool made edible peanut butter flavored doh. So I ate Playdo thinking it was the same thing.

Arn't you supposed to coat a Twinkie in something or else you end up eating a lot of the frying oil as it soaks into the cake?

I can see why you had stomach pains.
