Interactions/Syndromes are basically this suggestion anyway. There's pretty much no difference whatsoever.

We're suggesting syndromes that spawn vermin/more creatures... And there are a few crazy ideas also flowing around. Then again this is a thread that thrives on the idea of having vermin exploding out of corpses, so I'd have to say, more crazy ideas which I think wouldn't be able to be implemented into the vanilla :/

Point is, the syndromes/interactions interface should have a possibility than allows modders to make these effects insane. Meaning, syndromes that turn you into wood/trees (elven), or into 15 dairy maggots. A divine being that transforms Clowns and the people who opened the circus (miner and all of your fort) into cotton candy statues and veins. (Woooo)

I'm not sure what more is needed, honestly. As it's been pointed out, it is pretty much a given that mundane parasites and randomly generated parasites enter the game, quite feasible that this type of creature/vermin spawning will exist at some point, and possible that randomly generated parasites will be able to use these syndromes in some shape or form. There's pretty much nothing more that Toady could tell you (not that he has a much of a chance to respond to suggestions anymore), much less a modder, no matter how serious. For better detail suggestions, we'd need to see the interaction system first, and what possible gaps there are.
