Occasionally Titans/(semi)Megabeasts/Bandits(?) will have the equipment of slain dwarves. The abundance is dependent on how prevalent the dwarves were and how many historic dwarves were killed during worldgen. Mountain titan shrines are a good place to look because they will likely have killed a lot of dwarves.

nightcreatures might have dwarf loot only if there a lair near a dwarf settlement and there no way now except with Dfusion to get dwarves to send you on a quest to kill one to make things easier.

In the current version, Goblins often carry breastplates and helmets that dwarves can use.  That's usually how I equip my adventurers, as they're always dwarves.

How do I treat infection and "Lost ability to stand" ?
I have a crutch, but cant seem to use it.
The lost ability comes from lower spine dmg.
Will it heal?

How do I heal broken bones?
My nose is broken! :D

To use the crutch, drop it on the ground and make sure you have an empty hand. Then pick it up and you should be using it automatically. As for broken bones, uh... no clue, sorry. I don't think they heal. ^^^;

A different way is just to 'r'emove it from whatever container you have it in.  It'll automatically go to one of your hands.

We do, just not physically in the game world. They still go about their (world generational) business, send out heroes and get killed, so that you can't visit their fortresses doesn't matter for that aspect.

If you don't mind editing the raws, you could always change the dwarven biomes to grasslands and their settlements to cities. I do that for all the races so if I want to 'visit' the elves or goblins or whatever I can just find their city. :3

If you don't know how, you go to your dwarf fortress folder -> raw -> objects -> entity_default.txt and change this:

Code: (This is the dwarves, specifically, but can easily be adapted to the others.) [Select]
[DEFAULT_SITE_TYPE:CAVE_DETAILED]
[LIKES_SITE:CAVE_DETAILED]
[TOLERATES_SITE:CITY]
[TOLERATES_SITE:TREE_CITY]
[TOLERATES_SITE:CAVE_DETAILED]
[START_BIOME:MOUNTAIN]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_FOREST:1]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:MOUNTAIN:3]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_GRASSLAND:1]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_SAVANNA:1]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_SHRUBLAND:1]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_RIVER:1]

to this:

Code: [Select]
[DEFAULT_SITE_TYPE:CITY]
[LIKES_SITE:CITY]
[START_BIOME:ANY_GRASSLAND]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_FOREST:1]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_GRASSLAND:1]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_SAVANNA:1]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_SHRUBLAND:1]
[BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_RIVER:1]

As always, when editing raws, you need to gen a new world for the changes to take place. ^^^ (Again, I know a lot of people already know this, but it doesn't hurt to reiterate it for those who are new to it.)
