I voted for 'present but more restricted', but what I mean with that is magic still existing, but out of reach from us players. Rare non-player magicians could still exist.

Truth to be told, I'm kinda regretting not choosing 'no magic at all', there's no real need for it in the game.

As much as I personally enjoy playing a mage - there's no RtD way (as yet) to fully include the system without it being broken. Iituem started a good base framework for it with the checks and balances but it still needs work

Im hard pressed to find a way to add a fairness to the magic system without tables, charts, complex math and a -cost- to the casting (reagents and such)

Make magic to be exclusively at the GM's discretion and the rolls. just as the trade was, magic shoud have simple rolls and some modifiers associated with certain attributes, such as an artifact, a wand or how learned the mage was.

That way a GM can moderate magical power while having a bit of randomness with the dice.
If you are looking for a GM-less way to do it then I'm hard-pressed to think of anything that would do.

E: don't get into magic rules too much, we might not need them , depending on the vote.

I voted not at all, because I did'nt want any magic to be available to players, or NPCs near players.

However, I have no problem with the game keeping some fantasy elements to it. Only, no more magicians/sorcerers/demonists etc.

I'm not planning to use spirits or magic or anything like that but I voted for the way magic is used right now. Otherwise, I would have to write up something on how Hatcur transitioned from a theocratic empire, to an agnostic/atheist one. I could always explain that the priests covered it up, but still.

Also are you fine with be being that hacturi mechanic character (mostly unethical experimentation and specialist spy work) I want to be? Just 'cos if your in the same line of work as my guy there might be a wee problem.
