Starkey quickly makes something up. He hates to lie to Friesden, but he must, for her sake.

"Friesden, listen to me. Schmoe is in pain, he's suffering. You're a doctor. What... what do you do when a pony is suffering, and you cannot make them better?"

He locks eyes with Schmoe, silently making his intent clear.

The captain lunges forward, siezing Schmoe by the face. Before his vision descends into blackness, he swears he can see a wicked grin split Starkey's muzzle. They both vanish.

Schmoe awakens to find himself... lying in a bed? no, a hammock - he can feel it rocking gently. He opens his eyes to see wooden rafters mere feet from his face. Schmoe's exploration is interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Have a nice nap?"
