Aaaaaaand my internet finally rises from the grave. About goddamn time.
>Mikheal: ...
>Mikheal: "Your joking, right? Do you mean the little delivery of a farming report for a little backwater village? I just did that for a little money!"
"That was what that was?" The King says, surprise clear on his face. "Frankly, I'm rather shocked. I was certain he'd make his
move sooner than this, to say the least..." He trails off, apparently speaking more to himself than you at this point. After
a short moment, he returns his attention to you. "Given the position my enemy has put me in, I'm sure you understand my interest.
Both nations of this land have been pitched against each other for eternity. Any minor factor could upset the balance in favor of
either side. Whether it be the results of the year's farming... Or, a wandering knight."
"Though, I must ask... if your only employment with Cacol was in delivering reports, why were you so reluctant to meet me, hm? You
must surely realize, from my perspective, it is, to say nothing else, suspiscious." The bird brings his wingtips together in front
of him, steepling them like fingers. His expression is difficult to read, but he doesn't seem angry, as such.
>CT: Observe the fruits. Pick one up (assuming I can reach them).
As in, are they Earth fruit? (Also, perception check?)
You inspect one of the fruits. It's certainly nothing you've ever encountered before. At first glance, it appeared somewhat
like a plum, but it's the size of a grapefruit at least, and the skin is even tougher than that, not to mention far more waxy.
You idly wonder how one would even eat something like this. It doesn't seem to have much of a smell to it, but perhaps it isn't
ripe? Or, it could just be the thick skin hiding ripe flesh? It's impossible to tell.
The salamanders that followed you in clamber around you, asking if you are going to eat it.
>Steve: Read
God damn but this thing is wordy.
~The saviors of the Medium, the Knights, the Mage, the Seer, the Sage, the Heir, the Thief, the Seeker: Meteors mark their beginning in their world, and their transition into ours. The Heir of Blood, destined for the Land of Snakes and Jungles. The Mage of Rage, destined for the Land of Pearls and Volcanoes. The Seeker of Time, destined for the Land of Oceans and Crystals. The Knight of Mind, destined for the Land of Castles and Conflict. The Seer of Space, destined for the Land of Bridges and Change. The Sage of Hope, destined for the land of Frost and Springs. The Thief of Void, destined for the Land of Islands and Frogs. And the Knight of Breath, destined for the Land of Produce and Machinery.
That's about as far as you get before you are interrupted by the tortoise. "Excuse me, but may I see it when you're done? I've been seeking this for many years now..."
