>Oh Lawd. Sneak yourself past those Ogres.Stealth CHECK::[6,10]+6=22!
You tippy toe your way across the the hall. Like taking candy from a blindfolded baby. While it's asleep. Those Ogres are still making a lot of noise though. Make a perception check to see if you can get an idea of what is in the room before you just run in.
Or just run in. Whatever.
Lady luck once again is my mistress.
That, and your AC is high enough that for that Ogre to hit you, I need to bust out a 16 on my dice. Also, if you die, you don't respawn on Prospit or something. You'd need someone to get to your house and do sloppy makeouts with you to use your dreamself as a one-up.
Anyway.
>AL: Shenanigans. You spend some time messing around with the jelly folk. They don't say much beyond pop, but they do seem to like you, so that is nice.
Or it would be if that monstrosity hadn't just shown up. Why does this happen to you? The Jelly things scatter as a Flaming Basilisk approaches, murder in its eyes and a self satisfied grin on it's face.
Alex takes a run-up at the basilisk and swings, missing awfully.
The basilisk attacks in response, biting Alex for 7 damage and slowing him.
Alex attacks again, taking a point of damage for being in the Basilisk's flame aura, wasting his encounter power Dodge Thiis!
The basilisk attacks again, biting for 14 damage.
Alex takes a moment to collect himself, restoring 19 hit points but losing 1 from the flame aura, and attacks with the Tempered Axe's power, finally scoring a hit. The basilisk staggers from the force of the blow, taking 32 damage from the attack. Alex pursues the beast.
It attacks again, however this time it misses.
Alex attacks again with a Wweakening broadside, hitting for another 14 damage and softening the basilisk up for further attacks.
Now looking extremely winded, the basilisk tries to make a break for it. Alex attacks it, but it dodges away as it moves. It moves 30 feet away before turning and using a gaze attack against Alex, hitting him for 16 damage and immobilizing him.
Alex, unable to move after the basilisk, takes a defensive stance.
The basilisk, sensing weakness, returns and attacks once more, but misses.
Alex takes another point of damage from the flame aura, and takes his chance to attack. He misses, unfortunately.
The basilisk continues the assault, but Alex dodges the latest bite.
Alex strikes back, confirming a brutal affront, and cleaves the basilisk in twain.
Looks like that Basilisk... Bit off more than he could chew. YEEEEEEAAAAAAH!
GM Note: I think it is impossible for Alex to get his hands on a portable messaging system. I just flushed my musical instrument, and drew... Another musical instrument. At least after the battle I replaced
that with vitality gel. Whoo boy.
Am I allowed to shift again? If so:
>Mimi: Shift up 1 and shoot the ogre.
If not:
>Mimi: Shoot the ogre and head up one, up-left one, up one, up-left three.
Either way I rolled a 5+2 which is 17 which I'm guessing is a miss no matter what I do.
I knew I was going to miss it once eventually.
EDIT: I didn't mean to double post.
Hilariously, it is not a miss. You dodge the Ogre's inevitable attack of oppurtunity, and shoot it for 11 points of damage before running away from it again.
The Ogre follows after you, but ends up a step behind, as usual. Nice footwork.
Mikheal: To be honest, I'm just kind of wandering. I'm just new here.
Captainbird: Is that right? Well, is there anywhere you intend to go? I'm afraid the roads are not safe these days. War is brewing.
*Mikheal stands up to his full hight, revelling that he towers over the small bird*
Mikheal: I can handle myself, thank you every much.
Captainbird: Perhaps you can. I think, however, that I would feel more comfortable if I knew you got where you were going. Understand?
Mikheal: That depends. Where does this road lead?
Captainbird: Castle Cacol lies to the West. The trade city of Oriole lies to the east.
