And the other one is Kelly. Just Kelly. If anyone mentions her last name she threatens to crush their head between her manly calf muscles or something.

That was more poking fun at the fact that there are less than ten full-or-part-Japanese people I can think of in my entire hometown. One is me, four are my relatives. I couldn't count the number of Nguyens (much less all Vietnamese people) if I tried.

Japan and Korea (so much for not touching this) have bad relations to this day on account of Imperial Japan committing war crimes and atrocities of various kinds up and down the coast of Southeast Asia. Japan wasn't too soft on Vietnam, but what they did in Korea and China will live on in infamy in places that don't censor it mercilessly.
