Did some more fighting, shot some dudes.  I haven't figured out how many people to get for my little group, is there a good amount to stay at early on while they are lower levels?

Got some pro micro going on today.

Also got to raid phase 8 with just two casualties... only for this to happen. The guy didn't even have any dodge skills.

Depends on the skills. A guy with something to improve his initiative and/or firing speed (say, On Point and Cold Blooded) and some kind of rocket launcher could do very well on his own, as could a guy with a minigun and something to offset the movement penalty (Burly). But generally you'll want a composition.

In any case, don't go over four guys unless you have a scout (one of the possibilities at level 6) or you're really comfortable with what you already have, as you can only deploy four at once (without a scout). That might take you a little while, anyway.

Ok, so my newest recruit, although i can't show you, died in a raid. From an explosion. It sent him across the screen.

He then gets up and proceeds to kill the everloving shit out of a guy. Again, this guy has no health. His little body when clicked on reads "mort".
