I modded the game to play with humans, and it actually worked! So I embarked, in a salt-water site, since I generally overlook that, but I have a question. Can humans drink only booze, like dwarves, or do they need to drink water also?

If they're the race you're controlling, I'm pretty sure they can survive on only booze.

Humans are not [ALCOHOL_DEPENDENT], so I believe they'll work just fine with fresh water.

Yes, they do not need booze, they can work entirely off of water.

They will, however, drink booze if it's around. I think I heard that this CAN make an individual eventually "earn" the alcohol_dependent token. You can figure this out for each individual, by checking their little stat page.
