What's the key for renaming squads in the 'R'eveiw liberals scree?. Deon's mod break a lot of the UI, and it isn't in the manual.

I'm pretty sure you can't rename squads.  I've always had to disband then reform them in order to rename them.

It's 'Z' for assemble a new squad, then just select all the people you want in the renamed squad, and you'll be prompted to name it. If you remove all members from an old squad in this way, the old squad will automatically be disbanded. You can thus effectively rename the starting squad by just making a new squad with all the members of the starting squad.

I haven't played a lot of Deon's mod, but I have adapted a lot of its changes into some code I'm preparing for the main build, and I haven't noticed anything broken about the UI in either his mod or the builds I've made based on his code. The only place where I could see this appearing to be the case is in Ammunation, where the gun screen removes some of the store UI. That's just an expanded store screen though; I made it myself a long time ago, and it's based on the tailoring and mask buying UI, which goes all the way back to the old official Bay12 releases. It provides a more detailed and extensive item list, at the expense of requiring you to back out from that submenu if you want to change the buyer or examine your equipment. You can see it when buying guns from gang members in the unmodded game.

Are you having more extensive issues with the UI in his mod than I'm seeing, like it's buggy on your system but not on mine, or might this be a misunderstanding?

It looks like your console window has one less line than the game requires -- like, you have 24 lines of vertical space instead of 25, for example. Try going into your window settings, and instead of changing the font size, increase the number of lines in the window by one. That won't fix your mangled squad name obviously, but a good number of the screens you showed seem to be resulting from stuff that is supposed to draw on the nonexistent last line ending up in the wrong place or not showing at all.

In general, the police are the only ones who know about or care about your criminal record. There are a few exceptions, but this isn't one of them. Security guards attack purely based on your actions in the same day and same place that they're protecting. So either you had broken the law already during your outing (stealing things, breaking doors, vandalism?), or you were trespassing in a part of the location that you weren't supposed to be in. Some locations are private property you have no legal business in at all, such as factories, laboratories, and the CEO house -- security guards there will attack on sight if you don't have enough stealth or an adequate disguise.

Of course, in the real world, security guards would just speak to you and try to escort you out, or just call the police if you seem to be dangerous; most wouldn't even be armed. But this is Liberal Crime Squad, and any Conservative, especially one explicitly charged with protecting something, is probably itching for a chance to commit violence and murder toward filthy Liberals like you.

Your only option is a failed jail break.   :P

If you can get someone to where they're being held with decent lockpicking skill, they will free as many imprisoned liberals as they can.  Whether they escape or die while attempting escape, you'll have less imprisoned liberals clogging up your recruit slots.

If you're totally tapped out right now, then seduce someone to your cause.  It's gonna take a long, long time before your hero is good enough to succeed.  Try, try again!

I think the answers are yes and yes. It should be theoretically possible to recruit genetic monsters at L+ Animal Rights, but it requires large amounts of pure dumb luck to get Animal Rights to L+ while keeping other laws (ie. Nuclear Power and Pollution) conservative enough that genetic monstrosities still spawn. And while the CEO gets a huge bonus to defending against seduction attempts, even he is not immune.
