The goal of the game is to kill the Wumpus, the evil monster that lives in a crazy cave system. You go through tunnels and try to kill the vile monster. If you end up in the same room as the monster, you die. You also die by falling into a bottomless pit. If you end up in a room with a giant bat, you are randomly carried over to another room. You may shoot as much as you want in this version, but with each shot the Wumpus moves 1 room randomly. The Wumpus can climb over bottomless pits.

Why Deluxe: This will be a multiplayer adventure, and there will be more hazards, and more rooms. The Wumpus will take 3 arrow hits before death. This is a pure text game.

"You feel damp air moving." - Bottomless Pit is next to you.
"You hear flapping." - Giant bats are in an adjoining room.
"You feel sick from the stench." - Wumpus is in nearby room.

There will be several rounds.

I'm rather floored that a Wumpus is a real thing. In an ancient computer game, but still. Guess I'll have to hunt this elusive, long-thought-mystical beast.

BTW, I suggest you guys draw the cave on a piece of paper. It will be *much* easier, though actually if you die...

The Green Hunter dropped into the cave with a splash...ugh. That wasn't water he had landed in...he watched the others follow. Mercenary trash mostly, hoping to get a trophy. Maybe they could give the Wumpus indigestion?

Grimacing, he looked around-the room was strewn with Wumpus Dung, littered with the undigested bones, clothes and trinkets of it's victims...and, if he didn't want to become part of the collection...

He strung his enchanted bow right away. It was, in truth, the only thing capable of harming the beast-normal weapons, it laughed at...such a weapon had taken him almost 10 years to construct, but now it was ready, and his day of vengeance drew nigh...he sniffed the air. No wumpus stench...but it knew they were here. It knew...

Room 8 is not connected to the entrance. Remember, they're (psuedo-)randomly numbered!
