hey there, it's always me.
i looked around, and around in the web...
but i can't find a program where i can "dictate" words and they appear written on screen.
NOW:
i have windows 7 ultimate 64 bits.
this rules out dragon naturally speaking and it's co-products.
i have ITALIAN windows 7 ultimate. which means that, since Vista is born to be windows and damn cranky, IF i try the "voice recognition" / speech of vista it goes all "XXX needed not supported/installed" and i DID try and change location, language and even the KEYBOARD.
so, were can i find a program to dictate so that my voice becomes text?

You don't even need to go that far:

Maybe he thinks you actually just stared at your internet modem?

i didn't stare at my internet modem! i swear it upon dwarf fortress! 
point is, many things i tried didn't work, at all.
if somebody could just tell me "look, this works for me!" i'd be far happier.
consider that i don't EVEN have the option for the windows speech recognition, because, being the pc set to italian, and all, it doesn't even show up! not even when i try and CHANGE it to english, in all possible ways.
i tried things like "e-speaking" and something else on similar line, but they didn't work.
and since dragon naturally speaking is not supported for windows 64 bits, i didn't even bother.
So...anything? anywhere? i can't believe somebody didn't make an open source project on speech recognition. :/

I was going to tell you that they fixed that in Seven, but I was getting confused with another functionality that also didn't work in Vista my language: handwriting recognition

I did find some references that Dragon works on Windows 7 64-Bit, so not sure what's the issue there.

strange for the dragon thing, i tried a demo out but still didn't install it because the "sys32 drivers" were incompatible... ( i'll have another look around it)
now this time, thanks lordy ^_^ i'll give a try to them tomorrow morning (italy here is late!) and then i'll tell you how it went. (maybe my pc will explode, who knows >.>)
