We gotta make a interconnected community ASCII art thread combining elements according to cells (a series of maybe a 5x5 grid of 10x10 animations limited to 80 or 10 frames ought to do the job.

Think of it like that little stickman apartment toy that interacts with different versions of itself.

Here's something simple I made: Simple 8-frame 8-Delay 10x10 at 80x80 (avatar size) (x2 + a x2:1 UFO)


Dude with a gun charging and firing while running. Shooting a guy driving a go-kart. (Now with land motion) With an observer.

Not a bad image to base an animation off of. What can help with the inter-connection would be PM'ing other artists to see if they can alter the original animation it's interacting with, if necessary.

What would help with this is if there was an option to see frame-by-frame (according to a grid you tell it), and be able to work within the animation area overall with it (and page-by-page vertically or horizontally, depending on how you space your frames).

This would be great for the DF-Community threads that want to use animations in their story-telling.

I'd make something, but it would probably end up being an exact copy using only the solid character as pixels.

Also, is it just me, or is the text-placement buggy?

I noticed that I messed up on the animation's people placement. While improving it, I added a detail:

I WARNED YOU ABOUT badly animated STAIRS BRO!!!! I TOLD YOU DOG!

Any tips? As you can see, I completely suck at this whole "animating business". I think I messed up near the end somewhere but I can't tell where.

Tried to do a minecraft animation, but this is a bitch to set up.. someone give a proper tutorial on setting up a good one with 10 delay..
