Well clearly someone wants to go conquering. That ought to be interesting.
Also, I fully support the increase of land values to 2d a year. Its vital so nobles have more free cash. Truly vital. I believe we should also discuss enhancements to the research system so that the option exists to enhance the player nation. By allowing technological advances in certain fields (Agricultural, Masonry, so on) we can create additional player roles, additional specialist types, additional unit upgrades.. More areas to throw cash at, is good.
For example, Nothing->Wall->Fort->Castle->
with
needing to be unlocked by research in that direction. Agricultural advances that don't necessarily increase the flat yield of ducats per parcel but why not more manpower or something similar?

In addition. Hark ye all travelers, and listen to my tale. I come from the land of Meredania, far to the northeast. It is a kingdom of mountain valleys, stitched together by the blade of a cunning general, generations past. It extends even beyond the Titan's Spine mountains, to the nameless steppes beyond. It is a reasonably prosperous kingdom, and in its various provinces can be found Silver, Gold and Gems, and Exotic Animals in great abundance. Such few pieces of Meredanian Jewelry as exist beyond the country, are highly prized and very expensive. They also possess Low Quality Lumber in modest amounts.
They are however, a poor nation in terms of trade. Jealous of the material wealth of Meredania, their merchants are taxed heavily. As such they seek a controlled trade route to the Storm Coast. They have however had little luck with their expansionist attempts over the past 200 years.
Cold mountain winters and imposing walls have to this day, prevented reprisal from reaching the core of Meredania.
