I'll play this year. Put me down as someone who was raised on this type of game (Castle of the Winds) and also as someone who has played a moderate amount of crawl before, albeit only getting to runes through save scumming (usually because I make Fun characters)

I'll promise 2 decent runs, any more than that are optional on my part

Duuvian, would you rather be a Mason or an Engraver? There's one slot left in Masons - most of them have gotten 2-3 runes or been to the bottom of Elf or Vaults. I just created the Engravers as a slightly lower-intermediate team.

I added everyone else to teams - welcome everyone! We are up to 10 teams if you count the ones that aren't fleshed out yet. Seems we will have more people joining soon. I'm running out of team names... I figured if we start another Advanced/Expert team they could be something badass like the Axedwarves. Maybe another high-intermediate team could be the Militia. I think we will need more beginner teams.

I might be interested in the engravers team, if I have time. I've cleared orc and gotten to bottom of the lair, got ganked by some death yaks... Out of practice, but if I have time I'll get back into it, will look into the new update.

I sometimes manage to escape the abyss.

So pretty much new to Nethack, started just last night. For the first week I should beable to put in a decent amount of time however after that I can't guarantee anything. Not sure if I'd do better in Peasants or Brewers.

Also perchance someone could help me get crawl running online? The easiest way seems to be WebSocket but I'm unclear as to how to enable it.

^ Chrome supports WebSockets automatically, that's probably the easiest way to play online. Still, here's a guide to enable it on Firefox if you prefer to use that.

Hmm and I happen to already have Chrome on this computer... *checks the Firefox guide* Ah see on the instructions on Crawl's website they only said to go to about:config, not how to get there. Might just use Chrome anyway though. Thank ye!

edit: huh, the online version seems to lack some of the HUD features that offline has.

Yeah, the online version misses some things, but I think the patch will fix some of those. Still won't be as smooth as offline though. And slow, yeah. But I have that on the ascii version as well.
