Also: Why the hell are "me" and "mom" labeled as such? The guy explicitly says "I won't, mom"; they don't need labels. Labeling things of obvious identity is for political cartoons!

Maybe the topic creator lives down south where "Mom" is still in use to refer to ones wife.

Wait... that would still have the same problem... nevermind.

Well he could have been in England and speaking with the Queen.

The first one says it's referencing to Minecraft, so I am guessing that the trollface is creeper, who then explodes and the players reactions are shown. How this is funny is way beyond me...

It is because the memes he was using are supposed to be funny. Similar to the way someone making a funny face can be considered funny.

They're both so true.

Funny faces are indeed funny. Anyone who pretends to think otherwise is a liar and a scoundrel.

They can be overdone though. The first one just wasn't justified, the second one would have been much funnier without the mom-face. Also, it would help if you spent some time on your art. Copy-pasting an image of a real can of nutella would show more effort than a random black blob, come on now. And everyone would have gotten the first if troll-creeper were actually green, or even had nubby Minecraft limbs.

I think the underlying problem you're having here, OP, is that your comics are a series of meme images posted in a grid.

That's what rage comics are. Rarely do they make much more sense than his.
Unless that was the joke, in which case I agree. They just aren't for everyone.

I laughed at the second one.  Truth in a bottle.

"That's what rage comics are" does not imply "that's all rage comics need in order to be funny". Mindlessly copying a style of humor/art/whatever does not automatically make you succeed at it. That just makes you some kind of, what, cargo cult cartoonist? Like someone thinking that a political cartoon is good because you drew a bunch of random things and put too many labels on them (granted, that's how a vast number of political cartoonists seem to actually operate).

If you're going to ape some humor style you found on the Internet, then the least you could do is attempt to be clever about it instead of thinking that copying the superficial qualities of it as much as possible is what will make it amusing.

I don't find rage comics funny. In fact, I just looked at the site I linked to verify that. Twenty of those things, and not a smile out of me. I couldn't tolerate any more than that.
