Sorry for long delay, family issues, was out of home for some days

It's winter!
We're working on steel production, new tavern/booze stockpile and trying to fix overflowing at reclaimed hall. We have continiuos overflooding there, minor one, but still annoying. Looks like drainage tunnel is too narrow.

Also we have expanded hospital and installed the well there.

Traders gave us all their food stocks, so we're safe from starvation now. They received a few bins of various goods, mostly porcelain stuff.

A glassmaker got secretive mood.

Journal of Gar The Miner
You tell me, my diary, are ALL miners (except me) SO DUMB?! I gave orders to newly recruited miners - they spent some time digging new storage halls and I thought they were skilled enought to fix that overflooding... anyway, I gave them orders, and left to have a snack... and suddenly...

Oh, idiots. The dug channels under each other, or directly below their feet... I dunno what exactly happened, but now I'm the only miner here, again. Oh.

HAHA! two more dwarven lives claimed by the dining hall of death!

Yeah.  Thus why I didn't make a trap.  In it's current state the fortress didn't need a trap, the whole damn fortress is a trap.

FOUR!
The problem is that if you designate long rampway down miners tend to dig it from bottom to top. They dig a single channel at top level, descend down, dig another, and till they reach the lowest level. Then they begin to widen it from lowest level to topmost causing disasters, that would never come if they dug it from top. Crazy dorfs.

It's funny how the "surprises" aren't actually that dangerous ( this is open to debate ).  From what I can remember, a lot of them relied on being hidden, a few unmarked levers, etc.  It just wasn't THAT debilitating to the fort.

Now, imagine making a surprise that can't simply be disassembled, but when the new overseer tries to fix it, it makes ANOTHER surprise, thus setting up a chain reaction of chaos, and another, then another, and so on and so forth.  This would essentially be a chain reaction of chaos, which might not kill the fort, but would definitely a Fun surprise.

My rulership comes to end... I'm leaving this note to my successor, who 's gonna try to overhelm all that I left to him

So, drowning trap work ALMOST good. I had a beak wolves siege just before year end, and tested it on them.

So, see:

This is the drowning trap. Invaders are locked between bridges, and The Executor pumps water into it. After everyone is dead, pull that lever to let the water out.
Bridges are operated from Flooded Hall, see notes

there are small issues. Appeared that upward slope halps them to breath, althou it's fully filled with water. You see there wolves who survived. Also current setup is unefficient, I think it'd be better to place pump near the entrance.

Here's the new drinking hall:

Feel free to expand it and fill it with statues.

Mayor just demanded green glass window in his room. So I made a hole in the wall and put there a window.

So, good luck!
