A bit slow, but not as slow as it was for a bit.

Damn it, it's time I stopped tiptoeing around.
I wish to join the next beginner game!

There's always people who replace out of them.

Yea, but I don't want to just be plopped into a game already in progress, I want to be in from the beginning.

I understand this entirely. Replacing in is (presumably) a little strange and irritating, as it means you have to quickly write notes and investigate, as well as having to deal with whatever your predecessor posted.

Hmm. Maybe we should have some sort of waiting list for BMs, so players can get on that and then be PM'd when the next game goes into sign-ups. That way we don't have interested people missing out because they don't see the game in time.

You should also be able to pre-in to a game, but that's difficult right now since BMs are run by so many different people there isn't any guarantee that the mod will know you want in ahead of time. Having a system for that could be useful.

We certainly want to make it easy for people to join in the games, since having a larger player base is good for the subforum as a whole.

Plus, there's no reason multiple BMs can't be running if there are enough players.

We may actually have enough players, given the interest.  I think there are two players (now three, because of AlleeCat) who have posted in this thread about the current BM who are not in the game, and I'm sure we could scrounge up some more.

Remember, Sprint BMs are always an option for a smaller group.

Jim, do you want to set up a generic Beginner's Sign up list in the OP here?
